Armenian FM: Armenia welcomes recognition of Armenian Genocide by Paraguay
Armenia welcomes recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Senate of the Republic of Paraguay, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said. “Continued expansion of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide shows that there is no expiration date for crimes against humanity, and humanity continues to recognize and condemn that crime even 100 years after its perpetration. By this step Paraguay’s Senate made a significant contribution in the international efforts to prevent genocides and crimes against humanity,” Mr Nalbandian said. On October 29, the Senate of the Republic of Paraguay unanimously approved an official recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
