“Violin in the needle’s eye” and “Alexander Spendiaryan- conductor”. These are micro-sculptures, which have been exhibited at Al. Spendiaryan’s house-museum starting from today. The author of the works is the grandchild of world famous micro sculptor Eduard Ter-Ghazaryan- Eduard Ter-Ghazaryan Junior. The author of more than 70 micro-sculptures needs only quietness for creating exhibits, “I started dealing with the works in 2009. I didn’t imagine that I would be engaged in micro-sculpture. The goal is to pass this branch of art to the next generations. Micro-sculpture isn’t socialized and few people are engaged in this. I don’t do anything as an amateur. If I am engaged in anything, it is serious. I decided that I would be engaged in micro-sculpture. I put aside everything and started doing it. My grandfather taught me. Much has been written down. I will exhibit many works,” said Eduard Ter-Ghazaryan. His grandfather Eduard Ter-Ghazaryan was the first person, who created a new direction of micro-sculpture- moving micro works. In response to our question, that until today no one has managed to copy the moving micro works, whether the grandchild managed to copy the works of the founder of micro-sculpture, Eduard Ter-Ghazaryan answered, “At present I am working on it. I can carry into life any idea connected with static micro-sculptures, but time is needed for moving works.” At the opening ceremony of two micro-sculptures within the framework of “European heritage days” annual event, Tereza Kasyan, one of the attendees, is fond of micro-sculptures. This woman recalls, “When I was at school, there was a museum of micro-sculptures on Abovyan Street and the works of Eduard Ter-Ghazaryan’s grandfather were exhibited. We knew that place very well and visited it very often. It was very impressive, there were many fantastic works. I think that it will be very interesting both for Yerevan residents and the guests if such a museum reopens. Our city will only become richer by it. I am happy that the grandchild continues the work of his grandfather, new works will be added to the old ones and it is important that there is a place intended for them.” “Violin in the needle’s eye” and “Alexander Spendiaryan- conductor” micro-sculptures found their place at Al. Spendiaryan’s house-museum. մարինկա մարինկա3
