The only way to thwart the amendments is to say "No" to them

The launch of the campaign against the constitutional changes initiated by Serzh Sargsyan’s administration was announced on Friday in Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri. The pressure group calling itself “You Won’t Pass” today held its first street action together the public and political forces opposed to the reform. Armen Grigoryan, a member of the pressure group, is surprised to hear that the constitutional amendments are aimed at ensuring the country's further democratization. He says in reality Serzh Sargsyan is trying to restrict citizens' right to vote and the institution of Presidency. The rally started with a delay. Although it was authorities the city officials tried to create artificial obstacles. Though the pressure group hopes the struggle will yield results and they will thwart the planned referendum on the constitutional amendments, opposition lawmaker disappointed them saying the only way to win the fight is to vote against the amendments during the referendum.
