The six world powers and Iran have reached a deal in Vienna on limiting Iranian nuclear activity in return for the lifting of international economic sanctions. Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani said the "historic" deal opened a "new chapter" in Iran's relations with the world and added that the prayers of his people were finally heard. US President Barack Obama said that with the deal, "every pathway to a nuclear weapon is cut off" for Iran. Iran, which wants crippling international sanctions lifted, has always insisted that its nuclear work is peaceful. Negotiations between Iran and six world powers - the US, UK, France, China, Russia and Germany - began in 2006. The key points of the deal are here. Under the 159-page deal Iran will dismantle much of its nuclear infrastructure, while the UN, US and EU will take down a wall of sanctions built around Iran over the past nine years. Senior figures in Iran also hailed the deal as historic. Iranians are celebrating in the streets of Tehran. Photos are available here
