Sarnaghbyur resident arrested in connection with Gyumri clashes (video)
Mnatsakan Alexanyan, a resident of Sarnaghbyur village in Shirak region has been arrested today in connection with the January 15 clashes in the city that followed the January 12 brutal murders of the seven-member Avetisyan family, with residents demanding that the Russian serviceman charged with the murder be handed over to Armenian law enforcement authorities and tried in Armenia by Armenian laws. The arrest of Mnatsakan Alexanyan (born in 1993) has outraged his co-villagers; the consequences are difficult to predict. Alexanyan has been questioned several times by the local police, asparez.am reports.
