Armenian wrestlers win 3 gold medals in Paris
Headed by Head Coach Levon Julfalakyan the Armenian national team of Greco-Roman wrestling successfully performed in the international tournament held in Paris. 3 out of 5 Armenian wrestlers participating in the tournament became winners in their weight categories. Karen Aslanyan (66 kg), Karapet Chalyan (75 kg) and Maxim Manukyan (85 kg) won gold medals. Rafayel Alexanyan, who is the junior brother of Olympic Champion Arthur Alexanyan, took the third place in 71 kg weight category. And Gevorg Gharibyan (59 kg) performed unsuccessfully and didn’t gain any medal. As for 98 kg weight category Olympic Champion Arthur Alexanyan, he also left for Paris together with the team, but had to miss the tournament because of cold.
